The Director, Quality Management and Improvement will lead the Quality Management practice for RSA Canada across all business lines. This role will drive continuous Quality Management improvement, develop capability, improve consistency of practices and metrics and manage RSA’s strategic Quality Management vendor partner.

What you will achieve in this role::
• Set the direction and practices across multiple Quality Management teams across Canada. • Manage a combination of direct, in-direct, vendor and dotted line resources across multiple locations in Canada• Manage, strengthen, and leverage, the partnership with the Cognizant onshore and offshore teams, and continue to transform the Quality Management function into a centre of excellence.• Lead the work to improve the overall quality within Application Delivery Services (ADS) by working with stakeholders both internal and external to ADS, to examine the System Development Life Cycle, and improve upon processes, tools and performance indicators.• Establish consistent customer satisfaction and productivity metrics to drive efficiency and service • Continuously build strong relationships with key stakeholders (Regional VPs and Directors, HO Underwriting, Sales, etc.) • Provide day to day leadership for the Operations Productivity & Effectiveness team
What you bring to this role::
• The ideal candidate must have at least 7-10 years of solid experience in insurance/financial services leadership role focusing on Quality Management and Testing practices• A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience managing vendor resources in an on-shore / offshore configuration• Demonstrated ability to determine the key risks that need to be addressed and develop actions plans that are multi-faceted in nature and include both business process and system components • The ability to think strategically and develop supporting business cases • Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction and to analyze and resolve problems resourcefully • Strong business management/matrix management experience • Strong interpersonal skills, especially specific to persuasion and negotiation • Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with staff at all organizational levels • A passion for continuous improvement and the proven ability to execute change • Solid understanding of IT solutions and industry leading practices pertaining to Quality management and Testing• Excellent skills in: Work planning and organization; Process management; Performance management; People management • Previous business process role experience is a must • Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is an asset
