Position Overview:

The Full Stack developer will work on the RSA Digital team and the role will be centered around project work where the initiatives are broken up into sprints, with a larger release at the end of the initiative. This roles covers the spectrum of technical development and maintenance requirements for RSA and Johnson E-Business assets utilizing the standard RSA E-Business user interface framework.

You will also work alongside our developers, UX/UI designers and in-house creatives to collaborate on various layers of digital infrastructure.

What you will achieve in this role:

• Develop program code that implements new functionality, changes or fixes and includes a balanced solution that anticipates future requirements and not just immediate needs.
• Debug and apply fixes to production code.
• Carry out complex work requirements as generally directed by leader and within general needs of teams, projects and timelines.
• Expected to often work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Contribute to multiple scrum teams and perform in agile development environment
• Understand SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and take part in requirements, design, delivery, testing/triage, warranty support post production
• Understand Agile methodologies
• Work on different types of projects (i.e. some projects will have Angular development, while some are on legacy frameworks)
• Be available for implementation support and/or production support

What you bring to this role:

• College diploma or university degree in a related discipline or equivalent training and experience
• 3+ years related experience
• Understanding of latest concepts, practices and procedures related to UI development
• Thorough knowledge of Responsive Design and best practices
• CSS3, LESS, HTML5, Ajax, jQuery, XML, JSON, Web Services, Angular
• Knowledge of git
• Knowledge of living style guides, CSS architecture such as BEM and workflow automation an asset
• Familiarity with code linters
• Knowledge of Angular
• Ability and willingness to maintain knowledge and skills through efforts during and outside of work hours
• Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum
• Strong communication skills, oral and written
• Ability and willingness to work under pressure for sustained periods of time on multiple projects
