Our people are committed to building a dynamic internal culture where our people love what they do and feel motivated to keep things moving – for customers, for their colleagues and as part of their own growth and development.

In RSA, employing positive people is how we achieve success. You will be working in an environment that encourages you to do great work and you constantly will be faced with fresh challenges that have a direct impact on our business. We believe your personality and passion will keep RSA and our business moving forward.

At RSA we have a culture that supports and rewards high performance with a competitive reward policy for top performers. Our rewards package includes competitive compensation, work / life balance, opportunities to learn and the chance to make a difference working for a worldwide industry leader.

Position Overview:

What is it like to work with us?

We are a group of 60+ professionals operating in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Scandinavia, Canada and the Middle East who always aim for the highest quality. Of course we have some of the typical aspects and practices of other internal audit functions, but what are the ones we believe set us apart?

We work “AsOne” – We are driven to excel through collaboration, inclusion and diversity; embracing the unique strengths and insights everyone brings. We operate in a highly connected and international way without the usual silos. We all know each other and effectively work together as if we are sitting in the same room. We don’t dwell on hierarchy or location but instead focus on combining and leveraging the best skills and capabilities required to deliver.

We use an agile structure and approach – We are highly passionate about our people and their development. We believe in providing freedom to innovate to achieve the best outcome. We like to think as opposed to simply following process and enjoy exploring new ideas to evolve the way we work. We operate in squads; self-sufficient teams with significant autonomy and an end-to-end responsibility to deliver our audits and various initiatives. Traditional internal checks and balances have been replaced with more agile ceremonies, such as ‘stand-ups’, ‘showcases’ and ‘retrospectives’.

We are prepared for the future – We are proactive and aim to be ahead of the game. Our dynamic and forward-looking plan allows us to quickly respond and be on top of emerging risks and the areas that matter most. All our people are being equipped with skills and capabilities relevant for the future, including the fundamentals of coding, digital and agile developments. We have dedicated learning days where everybody is free to choose what they learn. Data Analytics and Cultural assessments are simply part of the way we audit.

We all own our results – We know what part we play in our company and take real accountability for keeping it safe and improving. We are on the hook and understand that in the end we, as Internal Audit, will inevitably be judged by the things we miss. This is why we regularly assess whether we have missed anything significant; what can we learn to become even better? Our approach earned us the respect of our stakeholders and makes us highly relevant and impactful as a function.

Who you are:

Your enthusiasm is infectious. You challenge the status quo. You find solutions to problems. You go the extra mile to exceed customers’ expectations. You get things done the right way. You represent our brand with passion and pride. You are a team player. You have fun and you make work fun for those working around you.

What you will achieve in this role:

As a minimum, you need to bring one or more of the following:

• Experience in the field of risk, governance and/or (internal/external) audit
• Experience in a complex international organisation, with a multitude of cultures
• Experience within Financial Services, either directly or through a leading accounting/consulting firm
• Degree in a relevant field and/or professional qualification

What you bring to this role:

Are you up for the challenge?

If this is the kind of environment you would thrive in, then please submit your application. We’d love to hear from you!
