Position Overview:

You will perform advanced analytical activities in support of Strategic Sourcing processes. Responsibilities include gathering data and conducting complex analyses to improve supply chain operations, and identifying significant areas of improvement within the Claims and Indirect areas of spend at RSA. You will lead KPI and metrics reporting, and work with stakeholders to find and understand deviation and improvement areas. You will also ensure visibility and tracking of savings vs. plan for the Strategic Sourcing Team. You will be responsible for the monthly team operating expense tracking and work with finance and treasury groups when reconciliations are required. The role includes building reports and operating plans to support the work plans of the team, with views that show monthly, annual and a 5-7 year forward looking view. You will be responsible to create PowerPoint presentations to support the Strategic Sourcing Directors present material to internal stakeholders and executives.

What you will achieve in this role:

• Provide strategic, tactical, administrative, and project support to the Strategic Sourcing Team
• Utilize complex analytical and quantitative methods to continuously assess the current state of the Claims and Indirect Procurement functions at RSA and recommend process and system improvements to better meet the needs of the business
• Complete special projects including data analysis, operational review, presentation of findings, and recommendations to stakeholders at various levels
• Support development of departmental performance measures and tracks progress to established KPIs.
• Support implementation and management of new Strategic Sourcing processes and systems
• Support departmental compliance with policies, procedures, and applicable rules and regulations
• Management of tactical procurement initiatives, as well as contract management
• Management and support of RFx’s
• Performs other duties as assigned

What you bring to this role:

• Advanced analytical skills
• Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g. macro development)
• Intermediate to advanced applications expertise in MS PowerPoint, Outlook, Word
• A combination of business, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Strong communication skills, business acumen, and detail oriented
• Experience with relationship and stakeholder management
• Proven quantitative and analytic problem solving track record
• Resourceful self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team within tight timelines, while always maintaining accuracy of data
• Excellent time management and superior organizational skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• University Degree, preferably in a business or analytical discipline
• Three years of professional analytical business experience. Supply chain experience preferred
• Expertise in Cost Analysis and Modeling
