Position Overview:

Calling all Commercial Auto Adjusters! If you are team spirited and customer obsessed like we are, we want to hear from you!
This role will handle moderate to complex commercial automobile claims inclusive of environmental, heavy trucking, litigation and fraud investigations. With your expertise in claims and combination with education, you are able to obtain licensing in Atlantic Provinces to best support our customers.

Being a part of the National Claims team, providing support all across Canada, we look for individual who are flexible to work shifts that fall between the hours of 6:30 AM (EST) to 8:00PM (EST), Monday to Friday and as business needs arise during peak periods.

Our Commercial Auto-PD claims adjuster position can be located in any of the following locations; Mississauga or Richmond Hill Ontario, St John’s NFLD and Dartmouth, NS.

What you will achieve in this role

• Utilizing your technical knowledge and experience as a commercial auto adjuster you will adjudicate complex claims with high attention to detail.
• Your relationship and collaboration skills are utilized as you interact with our broker partners and independent adjusters
• You will act with a high degree of autonomy
• You are experienced with identifying and manage SIU files and fraud investigations
• Utilizing your strong communication and facilitation skills you will contribute to training opportunities and mentoring of junior adjusters.
• Your process improvement mindset is valued as you are involved in special projects or new initiatives
• You will demonstrate leadership behaviors and be a go to person for colleagues, brokers, customers and the leadership team

What you bring to this role

• Minimum 3 years Commercial Claims adjusting experience including examining medium size and/or moderately complex commercial auto claims
• You have a proven ability to handle commercial lines claims, with a focus on heavy trucking, environment, and downtime claims and providing legal defense strategies
• You have experience in broker management, including presenting to broker groups and you are proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Working towards or completed CIP designation
• You are flexible to work shifts that fall between 6:30am EST – 8:00pm EST
• You have ability to multi-task between a variety of tasks, projects, and deadlines
• You possess superior verbal and written communication skills
• Previous call center exposure
• You have experience and knowledge of tort jurisdictions
• You are comfortable handling customer service escalations and complaints
• Valid Atlantic licenses ( NL, PEI or NB ) is considered an asset
