Position Overview:

The Information Technology & Security Governance Consultant position is a new and exciting opportunity within our IT Department. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology (IT) Compliance, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that Information Security and Technology risks are identified, escalated, reported, managed and tracked appropriately. The successful candidate will utilize their experience with IT General Control (ITGC) design and operating effectiveness, and Key Risk Indicator (KRI) metrics.
This role is located in Mississauga, Ontario and we support a flexible working environment.

What you will achieve in this role

- Prior experience is required to gather, aggregate and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and test IT General Controls (ITGCs).
- Work collaboratively with control owners and stakeholders to improve control validation processes, enhance KRI/ITGC testing methodology, process, procedures, and artifact submission.
- Execute the IT validation plan by communicating requirements to control owners, reviewing artifacts submitted for attestation and ensuring the completeness and accuracy of control testing activities.
- Assist in the development of reporting materials for the various committees (IT Risk Committee, Canada Risk Committee, Quarterly Controls Committee, etc.).
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the GRC platform and identify opportunities for automation.

What you bring to this role

- Minimum of 3- 5 years’ experience with extensive IT control testing and/or IT audit experience
- In addition to post-secondary diploma or degree program, completion of Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a requirement. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is considered an asset.
- Utilizing your analytical mindset and previous experience working with risk management frameworks and methodologies.
- Previous experience with Service Now GRC
- You have a strong ability to lead, facilitate and influence discussions with senior leaders and executives and possess problem solving abilities and sense of accountability
- You collaborate well and have excellent communication and presentation skills
