Position Overview:

The IT Financial and Resourcing Analyst is responsible for creating recurring and ad hoc reporting on the “run-the-company” and Rate Filing, Underwriting, and Regulatory IT portfolios. The Analyst is also responsible for analyzing and reporting on IT resourcing, including headcount reports, capacity management analyses, and ad hoc requests from the IT Leadership Team. This position will often require managing ad hoc requests and set deliverables with tight deadlines and changing priorities, while working to consistent standards.
This position is a 14 month contract within the St John’s, NFLD office location.

What you will achieve in this role

What you will achieve in this role:
• Support in forecasting, tracking, and monitoring actual results versus plan for the Rate Filing, Underwriting, and Regulatory IT portfolio
• Create monthly financial reports and analyses, investigating promptly any discrepancies and working with key stakeholders to determine the appropriate course of action
• Create various recurring and ad hoc reports to support effective management of IT resources, including employees, contractors, and outsource partners
• Apply advanced Excel knowledge to design worksheets to enhance functionality of reports in order to meet changing reporting and analysis requirements
• Communicate and liaise with IT, Project Management Office, and Finance colleagues, and others, as necessary in order to check accuracy, give or obtain further information and/or resolve queries
• Participate in special projects as required

What you bring to this role

• University degree in Business or Computer Science, or related
• Minimum 5 years of related experience
• Advanced Excel expertise, including vlookups, pivot tables, and graphing
• Exceptional analytical skills and experience with data extraction and analysis tools
• Creative problems solving abilities and organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage deadlines, multiple tasks and adapt well to changing priorities
• Ability to work independently and demonstrated ability to create and maintain strong working relationships
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills and the desire to go above and beyond
