Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide “best in class” service by facilitating prompt and equitable settlements of bodily Injury claims primarily within Alberta. You must have the ability to act decisively and work with a high degree of autonomy. You will interpret and confirm policy wordings to determine if the claim is within the scope of coverage, gather all information and evidence relevant to the loss, negotiate with policy holders and claimants, and direct and instruct outside vendors. You will be required to evaluate and analyze various medical and non-medical documents to process claims within proper guidelines.

• Provide flexible and principled claims adjusting of claims falling within the Minor Injury Regulation – low complexity Bodily Injury Claims.
• Interpret and confirm policy wordings to determine if the claim is within the scope of coverage.
• Deliver “best in class” customer service to brokers, customers and colleagues.
• Contribute to team success by consistently leveraging RSA best practices.
• Achieve greatness through your awesome productivity.

What you bring to this role

• Minimum 2-3 years claims handling experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of Minor Injury Legislation within Alberta.
• Exceptional customer focus, excellent people and communication skills and the ability to build relationships.
• Excellent time management, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability.
• Working towards, or have achieved, CIP designation through the Insurance Institute of Canada
